The XIII. “SEC-tember” – the most successful professional training of IBSSA – took place this year between 1 – 5 September 2014 in Budapest, Hungary.

In accordance with the previous years' traditions the Educational, Training and Science Organisational Directorate of the Ministry of Interior (BM-OKTF) and the Adyliget Law Enforcement School (ARSZKI) hosted and supported again our international special security advanced training seminar, and this year again we had “psychological training on measure” at the Tactical House of the International Training Centre – Ministry of Interior (BM-NOK) – the so called FBI Academy.

Iaido "pronounced as yee-eye-doh" is a traditional Japanese art of swordsmanship designed to contribute to self development through the moving meditation. Iaido practice consists of basic footwork, swinging of the sword, and kata (form) which is performed alone against imaginary attackers.

A referees and judges course (national and international qualification) conducted by sensei
DSCF3192Colin Putt, SKDUN Chief Referee, was held in Bielsko-Biala on 12 – 14 September 2014.  The group of 9 students of wide range of grades and previous experience worked hard over the 2 days to understand the complexities of kata and kumite judging and refereeing. The small number allowed for more in-depth discussions regarding the finer points of judgment. The course was complemented by a practical session of kata – Jion and Bassai Sho to underpin the theoretical knowledge.

They began quietly slipping into town the day before. By plane, train and automobile they came. From all over the country they came, to once again join in the fellowship and brotherhood of the most ancient and honorable Black Dragon Fighting Society. Masters and Grandmasters all, come to share their knowledge and good will, to see old friends again, to talk and eat and laugh and train in the martial arts. And all, humble as the dust, no fanfare, no parade nor guards of honor, just a quiet gathering of skill and ability like no other.
