We are proud to announce the confirmed date of the 2014 OJU continental Cup 2014. Confirmed dates are the 14th and 15th November in Wollongong Australia.

On behalf of Ivor Endicott-Davies, the OJU is happy to announce the 2014 OJU Kata Course, which will be held from 20-23 August 2014 and climaxed on 24 August with the OJU Kata Championships. Instruction to be provided by Kodokan instructors.

JUNIORS (under age 16) weigh-in from 12:30 – 1:00 pm, competition approx. 1:30 pm

FORMAT: At each tournament, competitors are grouped into pools by weight for a series of round-robin matches for pools of 5 or less; modified double elimination for pools may be used for divisions of 5 or more (subject to change based on number of competitors).

Sensei Peter Cooney 7th Dan Black Belt is to present seminars on Coo-Gar Kyusho, which specializes in the science of attacking the nerve points of the human body.

These will be held in Malaga in Spain, Goa in India, Bangkok in Thailand, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam during 2014.

All competitors must wear a clean white Karate uniform (GI). All competitors must have their own kumite (free-sparring) equipment, which includes a mouthpiece, a set of hand pads, and males must wear a protective supportive cup.
