German tennis player Alexander Zverev won the ATP 1000 tournament in Paris. In the final, he won a confident victory over Frenchman Hugo Umber.
The match lasted 1 hour and 16 minutes. In the opening game, there was no struggle - Zverev took a 5-1 lead with two breaks and calmly went on to win the set (6-2).
The scenario of the second game was no different from the first. Alexander took two games on serve and led 4-0 - the final 6-2 secured him the 23rd trophy in his professional career.
This is only the second trophy for the 27-year-old Zverev this season. Earlier in May, he won the Masters in Rome.
Starting Monday, Zverev will return to second place in the ATP rankings. Only Yannick Sinner is ranked higher than him by a huge margin.
