Usyk can hurt me, so I have to do my job

Former WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) spoke about his second fight with WBC, IBO, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs).

“The fact is that I am a very, very, very educated heavyweight boxer. I know boxing from the inside. Therefore, if it would be easy to knock Usyk down with his hands up and go forward, then Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois would do it. These are big, strong boxers who take someone down with their hands up and punch to make them submit and knock them out. They couldn't do that.”

“My style is agility, punching, movement, evasion - why would I give that up to go forward? It doesn't make sense, I wouldn't do that. So all I have to do to win this rematch is make small, minor adjustments - and I mean small adjustments. I need to remove the clowning, the hands behind my back, the fun time.”

“Obviously, I know that Usyk can hurt me, so I'm just going to focus a little bit more and I have to do my job.”
