Tom Leffler, the promoter of Ukrainian Serhiy Bogachuk (24-2, 23 KOs), commented on his client's upcoming fight with former world middleweight champion Israil Madrimov (10-0-2, 7 KOs) from Uzbekistan.

“There was no hesitation on either side. They are both well compensated. And these are the fights that boxing needs - Bogachuk, who is right back in a tough fight after he felt he beat Ortiz by knocking him down twice, and Madrymov, who is back after his great performance against Crawford.”

“These two are ranked in the top 5 in the 154-pound division. And it's not only one of the best fights in the division, but also one of the best fights you can have in boxing. You saw the fights of both of them last time: continuous punching for all 12 rounds,” said Leffler.

In his last fight, Bogachuk lost to Virgil Ortiz by a split decision. In the first and eighth rounds, Bogachuk knocked his opponent down. However, after 12 rounds, one judge recorded a draw, while the other two gave Ortiz the edge.

Madrimov also lost his last fight. In August, the Uzbek lost to Terence Crawford in a fight for the WBO interim middleweight title. He also lost his WBA belt, which he won in March in a fight with Magomed Kubranov.
