Eddie Hearn, the promoter of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs), commented on the likelihood of AJ fighting former WBC heavyweight titleholder Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).
“Let's wait until December 21 and see what happens in the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, and after that, maybe we'll return to the issue of revenge against Daniel Dubois. I think Daniel will have his next fight in February.”
“My position is that we have to fight Tyson Fury. If he loses to Usyk, my advice to Tyson and Joshua is to have two fights in 2025 and then retire.”
Du Bois defeated Joshua in a fight that took place in London on Sat. September 21. Daniel knocked AJ down three times and knocked out his opponent in the fifth round. Du Bois defended the IBF title, which he received after Usyk relinquished it.
