Eddie Hearn, the promoter of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs), commented on the likelihood of AJ's fight against former WBC heavyweight titleholder Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).
“I think 2025 will be an interesting year for Anthony Joshua, one way or another, but he will definitely be back. Whether it's a fight with Daniel Dubois, Tyson Fury, whoever, you're going to be entertained.”
“We were thinking of beating Dubois and then fighting the winner of the Fury-Usyk fight, and we might end up fighting the loser of that fight if it's Tyson Fury.”
Dubois defeated Joshua in a fight that took place in London on Saturday, September 21. Daniel knocked AJ down three times and knocked out his opponent in the fifth round. Du Bois defended his IBF title, which he received after Usyk relinquished it.
