The Diamond League General Assembly has approved a record prize pool for the 2025 season.
The total prize money will amount to 9 million 240 thousand dollars. This is almost a third higher than the prize money paid in the period from 2021 to 2024 and an absolute record in the history of the competition since 2010.
The entire fund for athletes, including sponsorship payments to top athletes for participation, is about $18 million. The League also invests in various services for athletes: transportation, accommodation, medical and physiotherapy support.
The prize fund at each regular stage will be $500 thousand and $2.24 million at the Super Final. The fund is evenly divided between all disciplines, and the prize money will be the same for men and women.
The 2025 Diamond League season will include 14 regular stages and the Super Final. The final event will take place in Zurich from August 21 to 25, 2025.
As a reminder, the winner of the 2024 Super Final in the high jump was Ukrainian Yaroslava Maguchikh. Yaroslava won the Diamond League final for the third year in a row.
