General Rules
WKF Rules to be used throughout with slight modifications as listed below. Any additional
rule amendments will be explained at coaches meeting prior to the event
All competitors to wear a clean white traditional Karate Gi, as per WKF Rules
Red and blue belts are compulsory for all events, with Kumite events also requiring the
Following;
Red and Blue mitts and gum shields. Chest protectors for females 14 years and over, all to be of the
WKF approved style
WKF style shin and foot protectors will be compulsory for all competitors 14 and over but would be
desirable for those 13 and under. 13 and under age-groups may wear the white cotton type
WKF style body armour and face masks are allowed but not compulsory
Competitors age as on day of competition
Incorrect entries will not be refunded and may not be re-allocated to correct divisions
