Zabljak, Montenegro: July 23-26, 2015
On behalf of the European University Sports Association (EUSA), the Students Sports Association of Montenegro (SSAM) and the Organising Committee, we have the pleasure of inviting university teams of your country to participate in the 7th European Universities Karate Championship, which will be organised in Zabljak, Montenegro between July 23 and 26, 2015.
The deadline for applications has been determined as March 15, 2015, extended to July 15, 2015.

Zabljak is a small town in Northern Montenegro. It has a population of 1,937. The town is in the centre of the Durmitor mountain region and with an attitude of 1,456 metres, it is highest situated town on the Balkans. Almost all the original buildings were destroyed during the Balkan Wars. What remained is the old church of Sv. Preobrazenje. In the 1880s Zabljak became a market town, leading it to became administrative center of the region. After the war, Zabljak rebuilt itself and became Montenegrin center for winter sports. Zabljak is a center of Montenegrin mountain tourism. The entire area of Durmitor mountain is protected as a national park, and offers great possibilities for both, winter and summer mountain tourism. Zabljak caters for activities such as: Skiing, Rafting, Mountaineering and Hiking. Among the main tourist attractions of Durmitor are 18 glacier lakes, the biggest and closest to Zabljak is Crno Jezero. Durmitor's slopes are also becaming increasingly popular among snowboarders.
