To: Instructors, Coaches, Parents, Athletes and Referees

Every Queensland athlete who has been invited to compete in Edinburgh, Scotland will be required to source their own funding, with costs anticipated to reach in excess of $4000 per player. This tournament will be run solely for the purpose of each athlete. Referee’s and event organizers have all agreed to forego their usual payment so this can happen. Additionally entry fees and usual competition expenses have been kept to a minimum to facilitate better participation and maximise profits. And, as such there will be no medals given at this event, however, each athlete will be awarded with a participation certificate.

Coaches must register online for credentialing. We ask that your club provide sufficient coaches to avoid the possibility of players competing without a coach. Please note that, under WTF rules, a maximum of three (3) calls to the field of play will be given. Fights will proceed in fight number order. f a player is not ready, the fight will proceed with or without a coach. A coach may enter the court to commence coaching even if the match has started.

Referees must register online for credentialing. We ask that your club provide sufficient referees to ensure the day runs to schedule. All clubs who have accredited referee’s please ensure this information reaches them.
