Tournament Rules: WTF Competition Rules
3 points for head kick (11 to 14 y.o. Black Belts only)
2 points for turning body kick
Closing Date: Friday, 17th October 2014

Head Instructors MUST send both entry form and declaration documents by
Wednesday 22nd October to (failure to do so will result in the competitor not
competing on the day)

Weigh In: While there is no official weigh in for this event, Head Instructors are
responsible for checking that the weight categories nominated on entry forms are
accurate.

Insurance: All competitors must show a copy of their STA/Taekwondo Australia
membership card on signing in on the day of the competition. (or proof of
insurance if not insured with STA/Taekwondo Australia)
Coaches: Each club is expected to provide sufficient, suitably qualified coaches and at
least one referee from each Club/Branch
Competition Draw: A full list of the players will be posted on the event registration page –
www.internetentries.com - by Tuesday 21st October 2014.

There will be no variation to the draw on the day of the Tournament
Please note that in order to make sure all competitors do get at least one fight on
the day, we may amalgamate weight divisions, as well as combine male and female competitors in the one division, and may even combine different colour
belts into a single division at the discretion of the organizers, but also with
consultation of each student’s Head Instructor.
Awards: Trophies for First, Second and Third (2 of)
Protectors: Competitors must wear their own Chest, Groin, Shin, Arm, Mouth and Head
guards. Instep protectors and Gloves are now also required
Liability: All participants in the tournament take part at their own risk. The organizer can,
under no circumstances, be held responsible for any damages, injuries or loss to
individuals or equipment.
Spectator Fees: An entry fee of $5, or $10 per family, will be charged on entry

A more detailed timetable will be emailed to Club Instructors prior to the event once the number in
each age group are known
Age Divisions: Male & Female – Yellow, Blue, Red and Black Belts:
Please note competition is only open to Yellow, Blue, Red and Black belts.
Ages: 6-7, 8-9, 10-11 & 12-14 years old
Please note that player age is determined by the YEAR of birth. For
example: if a player turns 10 ANY time this year, they must enter the
competition as a 10 year old, even if they have not yet turned 10.
Head kicks will only be permitted in Black Belt Cadet 12–14 age group division.
This age group will also have an option for “NO HEAD KICKS”. If either
competitor does not want Head Kicks, regardless of age group or skill level, then
the fight will be deemed a No Head Kick fight. Kicking to the head will then
incur a “Kumgum” or Full Point Deduction.
We will be using the 7 point gap and 12 point ceiling at this competition
Fight Durations: Three 60 second rounds with 20 seconds between rounds.
