We are pleased and honored to invite you to participate in the 2014 West Coast Open Martial Arts Championships on Saturday and Sunday, September 27-28 2014. This year’s event will once again be held at the beautiful Greater Tacoma Convention and Trade Center in downtown Tacoma, Washington.

It is a great pleasure to announce that this year’s seminars will be conducted by three time WKF world kumite champion Elisa Au Fonseca. Sensei Au Fonseca is the most successful athlete at WKF competition in US history. Her seminars are dynamic, cutting edge, and not to be missed! Karate-ka of all ages and abilities will have a rare opportunity to train with the world’s best!

After the competition and seminars on Saturday evening there will be a welcome and awards dinner with some very special guests! Everyone is invited to attend.

The event will also feature Senseis and competitors from Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Montana, and Idaho. The quality of the competition and officiating promises once again to be the finest in the USA.

We are proud to have the assistance and sponsorship of the Tacoma Pierce County Sports Commission and appreciate their hard work in making this a successful event. We are also grateful to the Washington State Karate-Do Federation, the regional sports organization for the USA Karate, for their support of this competition.
