8. melbourne2About Magnificent Melbourne
Melbourne is a lively, sophisticated city with vibrant energy, funky boutiques, café-filled laneways, cool bars, unbeatable galleries, great parks: Melbourne is very much about lifestyle.

Melburnians even embrace their notoriously changeable weather. A standing joke in Australia is that Melbourne can experience four seasons in a day. But, really, it's just another example of how Melbourne has it all!

With many attractions such as the Melbourne Aquarium, Melbourne Zoo, river cruises, Melbourne Observation Deck, Werribee Zoo, Botanic Gardens, Melbourne Museum, Fitzroy Gardens, the National Gallery of Victoria, Victoria Market and more, you can get around easily by tram, bus, taxi or your own car.

Take advantage of two of Melbourne's absolutely free services, the City Circle Tram, which runs every 12 minutes from 10am-6pm seven days a week (Thursday, Friday and Saturday to 9pm during daylight savings time), and the Tourist Shuttle bus which runs daily every 15 minutes from 10am-4pm. The bus stops at many key tourist attractions around the city and has an informative commentary. See the websites below for routes.
